  • OCAN VALLEY - Where the Blue Industry Turns Green: Solve Locally, Scale Globally

    In May 2023, OCEAN VALLEY was officially kick-started by a generous grant from the Danish Maritime Fund. The vision of OCEAN VALLEY embodies Copenhagen Malmö Port’s aspiration to make both the port and the region the place where the maritime industry becomes green. The ambition is to gather innovation and knowledge within a cluster that fosters solutions developed better and faster through collaboration across industries, companies, universities, and investors

  • CARBON HUB - Establish a data-based overview of the carbon market in the Öresund region including mapping future use-cases for CO2

    In October 2023, OCEAN VALLEY set out to test the Oresund region’s collaboration potential through its first Proof-of-concept (POC) project. The POC project validated the relevance and purpose of OCEAN VALLEY. The Carbon Hub project was the first POC-project showcasing the region’s cross-border collaboration potential. The CARBON HUB project later evolved into OCEAN VALLEY’s first spin-out project.   

  • E-PORT – cultivating investment interests in electrical port infrastructures by clarifying future electricity demand.

    In November 2023, OCEAN VALLEY set out to test the Oresund region’s collaboration potential through its second Proof-of-concept (POC) project. The POC project validated once again the relevance and purpose of OCEAN VALLEY. The E-port project was the second POC-project showcasing the region’s cross-border collaboration potential

  • Øresund Region as a world-leading CCUS Center of Excellence

    In August 2024, OCEAN VALLEY initiated its first spin-out initiative. Together with CMP and E.ON; OCEAN VALLEY got funded by The EU program, Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak to validate Øresund Region’s CCUS-potential. The project established a cross-border collaboration platform with more than 58 participating stakeholders advancing the green transition together. The successful results paved the way for establishing a world-leading CCUS Center of Excellence.
